Lil Wayne Pleads Guilty To Drug Charges In Arizona
Lil Wayne, who is currently serving time on gun charges in New York’s notorious Riker’s Island prison, entered a guilty plea to drug and weapon charges in Yuma, Ariz. on Friday.
Weezy pleaded not guilty to the charges in January, 2008, after the US Border Patrol stopped his tour bus about 80 miles east of Yuma and found cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun. He changed his plea to guilty on Friday, in exchange for all charges except one – for possession of dangerous drugs – being dropped.
Lil Wayne faces up to 36 months probation when he is charged June 30.
