The release of Lil Wayne’s long-delayed rock album has been pushed back an additional six months — just weeks after it was accidentally shipped out to 500 fans.

Rebirth — the follow-up to 2008′s The Carter III — was due to officially hit stores and the Internet on 1 February, but a few hundred copies were sent to Amazon.com customers, who had pre-ordered the album, last month.

Rebirth will now drop June 22. Lil Wayne is set to begin serving a one year prison sentence on weapons charges next month.
