Ty Inc. is retiring the names “Marvelous Malia” and “Sweet Sasha” after First Lady Michelle Obama attacked the toy manfacturer for naming a pair of plush dolls after her young daughters.

The dolls have been renamed “Marvelous Mariah” and “Sweet Sydney.”

“We appreciate the company’s response to this matter,” Obama’s press secretary, Katie McCormick Lelyveld, said Tuesday.
