Grammy Award leader Mary J. Blige will be honored with her own handbag by upcoming designer Matti Rouse.

The “Mary Jane” bag was inspired by the life of M.J.B. Matti credits Mary’s music with saving his life after finding out his daughter had Leukemia Cancer.

“Designing a bag to pay tribute to Mary J. Blige is an honor,” said Stevo. “She didn’t ask us, we choose her. Not because of her celebrity, but because of her humanity and constant efforts to educate those who were deprived.”

Samples of the Mary Jane handbags will hit store shelves in Spring/Summer 2007.
