Mary J. Blige is in talks to portray music legend Nina Simone in an upcoming MTV Original biopic about the jazz singer.

I can’t see it. I was a groupie of Nina Simone’s. I must have seen her more than 30 times in persson between the 60′s and 80′s. I love Mary J also and have seen her in person twice. I just can’t see the comparison. Their voice is nothing alike, and needless to say, Mary doesn’t play piano, they DONT look alike. NIna went to Julliard and studied her craft. Mary is just a God given talent. I will see how it plays out–but from someone whose seen them both in person–NO.
