A Chelsea New York neighborhood club promoter claims “This Is Why I’m Hot” rapper Mims was a no-show for her pre-scheduled event just because she’s a woman and she’s filed a $7.5 million civil-rights suit quoting the rapper’s deragatory lyrics toward women in an effort to prove her case.

Mims, whose real name is Shawn Mims, was set to perform for ten minutes at a rate of $10,000 at Eugene, on West 24th Street, on April 5th. Twenty-two year old Marquitta Blair said she sent him a $2,500 down payment through his agent.

Mims never showed up.

Marquitta filed the lawsuit in Rockland County, she says Mims “has promoted and traded upon a pattern of conduct involving the belittlement and degradation of females as ‘bitches’ and ‘hoes.’ “
