Mystikal, who six years in jail after being convicted of extortion and sexual battery of his hairstylist, was released from a Louisiana prison this week.

The former No Limit soldier was convicted January 15, 2004 for sexual battery, after being charged in 2002 for forcing his former beautician to perform oral sex on him and two bodyguards at his apartment in Baton Rouge.

In his first interview after being released, the former rap star called into New Orleans’ Q93 FM.

“Man it’s been a long time!” Mystikal says. “It had to be God,” he said. “I couldn’t have done that. Going through it? It was tough. He had His arms wrapped around me tight.”

Mystikal is best remembered for his 2000 hit “Shake Ya Ass.”
