NAACP Supports Dogfighting Michael Vick NFL Return
The NAACP supports Michael Vick’s return to the NFL, preferably the Atlanta Falcons, after serving his impending federal prison sentence for his role in a dogfighting operation responsible for hanging, electrocuting, and drowning canines (Graphic Image Of One Of Vick’s Victims Below. You’ve Been Warned!).
“As a society, we should aid in his rehabilitation and welcome a new Michael Vick back into the community without a permanent loss of his career in football,” said R.L. White, president of the group’s Atlanta chapter. “We further ask the NFL, Falcons, and the sponsors not to permanently ban Mr. Vick from his ability to bring hours of enjoyment to fans all over this country.”

he can’t undo what he did, but he can try to do things to prevent other people from doing what he did, and that’s pretty much all he can do. going to jail won’t prevent him from doing it again, if he really wants to, and it won’t ease the dog’s suffering. the only thing it is good for is making an extremely public example out of him. which might help some dogs somewhere, possibly. all you people calling for his blood, that’s not really why they’re putting him away. they don’t really care that much, they just want to make an example and say, see, that’s what happens when you break the law. going to jail will not help him do all he can for animals, but it may help others. who knows. but him going to jail is probably not much better, if at all, than him doing community service and donating all the money he would have earned.
