After stirring up a firestorm of controversy, Nas has changed the title of his upcoming July 2008 album from Nigger to Nas.
A Def Jam representative has confirmed that Nas will no longer be naming his forthcoming ninth studio release Nigger.
Nas is now set to hit stores on July 1st.

I thought it was a bad decision in the first place! I never liked the title, I don’t agree with it in any way, shape, or form….
BUT at the same time if he was gonna name it that he should’ve grabbed his balls and stuck with it. I think it’s a bad idea to change it even though I hate the name. He should man up and keep it that. Don’t cause controversy and then back down!

Last night at a Nas concert he claimed he was not going to change the name. So I guess we’ll see July 1st.
