Natalie Cole Fans Offer Singer Kidney
Natalie Cole’s fans want to give her a kidney. Dozens of viewers wrote in offering to be tested as possible donors when the singing legend appeared as a guest on CNN’s Larry King Live Tuesday night.
Natalie was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in February 2008. Her kidneys failed after treatment and she has since been seeking a donor.

I am glad people are willing to donate a kidney to Ms. Cole however what about the hundreds of other people waiting for a donor many of whom will die if they do not receive a new kidney in time.
My husband has been on dialysis 3 times a week for over ten years. He was never a candidate for a transplant but other people are.
We need to help them as well.

I agree that we need to help all those in renal failure. I have been on dialysis for 6 years and will be getting a kidney this summer. BUT…this is all well and good, everyone jumping on the band wagon and offering a kidney to Natalie. I hoipe that they realize this is a total commitment that is giving hope to a person who is tethered to a machine at lest twelve hours a week, in order to live. These offers cannot be empty but truely meant. I have had 8 people tell me they would do this and then back down…all sought me out. And,guess what, even if these people do not match Natalie, then donate to someone else. This is a gift of life. Every day 17 people die waiting on a kidney. Your altruistic donation would prevent some human from joing that number. Please give! God Bless

SO I THOUGHT A SHOW ABOUT DONATING KIDNEYS WITH EVERY DAY PEOPLE WOULD BE A GREAT FOLLOW UP.
