Natalie Cole has been checked into a New York City hospital since suffering an adverse reaction to chemotherapy last Friday. The singing legend announced she has hepatitis C, a likely byproduct of years of habitual drug use, last July.

“She was doing press in New York last week when she got really sick due to chemotherapy she was undergoing to treat her hepatitis. She got anemia from the treatment.”

The 58-year-old jazz and R&B singer-songwriter, an eight-time Grammy Award winner.
