NBC Racially-Insensitive Black History Month Luncheon?
Racially-insensitive much? Questlove seems to think so. The Roots star — currently a drummer in the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Band – TwitPic’d this image of the lunch menu available at NBC on Thursday in honor of Black History Month. Some Tweeters are disturbed that the menu seems to be filled with dishes stereotypically affiliated with Blacks.

It’s still good food, regardless of cultural lowmindness and baggage.

It’s a traditional southern meal. A lot of black folks call that kind of cooking “soul food.” The cook who came up with the menu is a black woman who wanted to celebrate her favorite food. There’s nothing racist about it at all.
If you want to see her talk about it, see the video here:

If it were Italian American Month I would hope they let me put spaghetti and meatballs on the menu. I don’t get the racism?
