President-elect Barack Obama and his family are moving to the Nation’s Capital this weekend.

A transition official tells CNN that the soon to be first family will be heading to Washington earlier than expected so daughters Malia, 11, and 7-year-old Sasha can begin school at Sidwell Friends next week.

“They will stay at a Washington hotel through the 15th and then they will move into the Blair House,” the official said Wednesday.
