Oprah Winfrey has joined the cast of The Princess and The Frog, Disney’s first animated film featuring an African-American princess.

The Queen of Talk will lend her famous voice to the character of Eudora, the mother of protagonist Princess Tiana (voiced by Anika Noni Rose).

The film, set in the French Quarter of 1930s New Orleans, will be released next year.
