Queen Latifah is planning to adopt an African-American baby with longtime lesbian lover personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins, according to new media reports.

“It’s top secret right now, but they are hoping to have a little one by Christmas,” a celebrity snitch recently revealed to the National Enquirer. “They’re trying to keep it quiet because they don’t want to jinx the whole thing…They’re completely dedicated to each other. This baby is going to be the biggest thing that’s ever happened to either of them.”

The Oscar-nominated rapper has enlisted the help of her sister, a social worker for the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services, in selecting a child in need.

“Her mom Rita is just as excited about the baby as she is. Rita’s like, ‘c’mon already! I’m not getting any younger I can’t wait to get my hands on that baby! Latifah tells her, ‘Ma, I’m working on it!”
