R. Kelly is trying to leave his longtime label Jive for a new deal with Universal’s Interscope Records, according to new reports on Monday.

Kellz’ new LP 12 Play: Fourth Quarter, the fourth installment of the 12 Play series, will likely be the singing star’s final release on Jive,The Business Sheet claims.

R. Kelly sparked rumors that he will ditch the label after his management team began seeking a more lucrative deal for future projects late last week.

    Jive records has the most talented musician in the game right now. If they lose him its gonna be a great loss to the company. I think he’s just frustrated with the low number of sales of his albums & tours.

    I think many artist has done this forever. Leaving does not always mean some one is frustrated. Yes there should be a degree of loyalty but If R Kelly does not give jive records what they want they would be on to the next money maker.
