Run-DMC Musical
Run-DMC’s rise from obscurity in Hollis, Queens to one of the most influential rap groups in history is on its way to the stage, Variety has learned.
Broadway producer Paula Wagner is working to bring the story of Rev. Run, Darryl McDaniels , and their musical partner Jason “Jam-Master Jay” Mizell (who was murdered in 2002) to New York’s iconic Great White Way.

“I feel their story lends itself perfectly to the stage. This project has been a passion of mine for some time and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with them.”
Run-DMC was the first hip-hop act to crossover and influence the rest of the music industry.
