She’s only 29, but booksellers will welcome the arrival of Serena Williams’ official memoir in 2009.

The nine-time Grand Slam-winning tennis phenom and Grand Central Publishing announced plans to bring Serena’s life story to small print next year.

”Serena Williams is one of the world’s most remarkable athletes,” editor Karen Kosztolnyik said in a statement on Tuesday. ”We’ve watched her rise to No. 1 despite physical and emotional setbacks, and her hard work and determination have inspired legions of fans young and old. Serena will give her memoir a strong motivational slant.”
