Seven Years For Shaquanda Cotton

Shaquanda Cotton is a fourteen year old young African-American woman who will be sitting in a Paris, Texas prison for the next seven years because she shoved a fifty-eight year old hall monitor.

Shaquanda’s saga just screams racism, especially since a White Paris teenager convicted of arson on her family home after Shaquanda’s conviction is serving probation.

S.C has no prior criminal record, and the hall monitor wasn’t seriously injured.

(Insert sarcasm) Rev. Sharpton is currently busy marching against Tony Yayo, but Shaquanda’s story is worth checking out:
