Shyne hasn’t made peace with Diddy — not now, not ever! The once-promising rap star saw his career cut short when he was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges related to a shooting — also involving Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jennifer Lopez — at Manhattan’s Club New York in 1999.

Diddy was acquitted. After nearly nine years, Shyne was released from prison earlier this week, but remains in custody at the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility pending the possibility of deportation to his native Belize.

The rapper, a former Bad Boy recording artist mentored by Diddy, released his certified self-titled debut on the label during his sentence. A second album, “Godfather Buried Alive,” was released on Def Jam in 2004. Despite recent comments by the hip-hop mogul, Shyne has denied that his former mentor spoke with him recently to clear the air.

“My client wants to make it very clear that no such conversation between Mr. Combs and he ever occurred,” Oscar Michelen, Shyne’s attorney, said in a statement Friday. “I was very surprised to hear Mr. Combs’ claims about talking with my client since I speak to Shyne all the time and he never mentioned anything about it,” he said. “Knowing how he feels about Mr. Combs I know that it would have been very strange for Shyne to have spoken with him and not told anyone.”

Shyne further blasts Diddy’s declaration of a reconciliation, cited on New York radio station Hot 97 last week,.

“I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs’ imagination,” Shyne said. “He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident.”
