Steve Harvey “Family Feud” Host
Morning jock and relationship guru Steve Harvey is adding a new title to his resume: game show host. The comedian will take over as host of Family Feud when the syndicated show begins its new season on the ION Network next fall. Acting vet John O’Hurley, who has hosted The Feud for four seasons, is leaving the show to focus on his role in the touring production of the musical Chicago as well as other business ventures.

I don’t know why they picked Steve Harvey to do the show.
He is extremely anti-gay and helped with Prop8 in California by donating a large chunk of his money to it.
You can be sure that a lot of people won’t be tuning in to see the show.
Going to be such a waste of a good game show

@ Chuck,
Fuck you. Steve Harvey is a fuckin’ OG!. How the hell can you say he wouldn’t be a better host than John O’Hurley? The guy played J Peterman on Seinfeld, can you say a dead career?
Steve Harvey for the win, son.

I think Steve Harvey is going to bring the joy Family Feud is known for back to life. The Show hasa been in need of an overhaul sense Ray Combs left. I love Steve and this show and the two being placed together is a Win Win situation. As for him supporting Prop 8 this is America and Freedom of speech is a part of all our ivil Rights, I could care less if he’s for or against it. It still doesn’t change the fact that we as the people love him. So for each person who refuses to watch there will be 3 that will.

To be a host, especially on a show like Family Feud, you have to be quick-witted — like him or hate him, Harvey is NOT.
And to the person above who portends to be gay but be OK w/Steve Harvey’s (also purported) anti-gay stance…you are a liar. If Harvey is indeed anti-gay, than any thinking person would not support him or his career.

I have watched the new family feud and I do not like it at all! I do not care about the hosts personal or political views, this is not about that. I hate it!!! Slow, slow paced, new set is boring, I miss Jon O’Hurley. He brought levity and fun to the show. Steve Harvey is too much like Richard Karn was. They were good at their own thing but hosting a game show, NOT!!! I will not watch again and it was my favorite game show, sad….

I am very disappointed that John O’Hurley left. He had a much friendlier rapport with the contestants and the audience. Steve Harvey is too brash (for this type of show) and his timing is way off – trying to be funny and not being funny is not a good move for Family Feud.

Steve Harvey is crude for daytime TV. And now some of the questions that they ask are also crude and unappropriate.

Don’t like the new show. I liked fast money. It’s too slow and I don’t think it’s the right show for Steve Harvey. He’s funny, but not quite right for a family game show. Agree with someone else who posted, questions are leading to some crude answers and responses from Harvey…okay somewhere else, but not on FF.
On September 28th 2010, Dawn Lee wrote:
Family Feud needs a host who has class, who genuinely likes people, and someone who makes the contestants feel comfortable. Even if the contestants answer is not the best, the host needs to be supportive. If we can’t get John O’Hurley back, we need to get someone who at least comes close. How about Jason Alexander or Howie Mandel? What do you think?

I cannot stand the show now that Steve Harvey is there. He is too crude, and the questions that are asked are unsuitable, expecially for daytime TV. I have not seen even one show that did not have some type of a sexual question. Watched him for about a week; will not watch again until the game show host is changed.

Get rid of Steve Harvey. He is too slow in asking the contestants questions in Fast Money, and therefore not giving them enough time to answer all questions. In the regular play, he’s too busy getting as many ad libs in as possible. Go do stand-up instead Steve. Too frustrating to watch this year. Bring John back or if he is no longer interested, there HAS to be somebody better than Steve Harvey.

As far as Steve Harvey goes, he just had on the “Strawberry Letter”, a letter from a woman who didn’t know what to do about her boyfriend who announced in church that he was delivered from homosexuality and was in love with this woman.
So, you would think that Steve Harvey would talk more seriously, (given his “Christian convictions”), about this person’s being delivered from homosexuality, but he basically made fun of the guy expressing this in church, and even called him “Tinker”, (as in “Tinkerbell”).
So when a guy is delivered from homosexuality, he feels he should just make fun of him anyway, for having been gay in the first place. He dismisses who God has delivered.
Meanwhile, he promotes fornication, telling women to wait until 90 days to have sex. The Bible doesn’t say to wait 90 days, it says not to have sex until marriage, and also warns that fornicators will go to hell if they don’t repent.
Yet another example of “I prefer my sin to yours.” This is why I don’t take Steve Harvey’s “Christianity” seriously.
