Celeb insiders dish that engaged comedian Steve Harvey is currently shopping a reality series based on his nationally-syndicated morning radio show, “The Steve Harvey Morning Show,” to a number of on-screen networks.

The proposed TV series would be set in the New York offices of his nationally-syndicated “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” and feature Harvey and his sidekicks being taped while on the air.

At least two distributors are “extremely interested” in the concept, according to insiders. The series is shooting for a fall 2008 debut.

“The Steve Harvey Morning Show” sports music, humor, news and celebrity guests. Co-hosts include Shirley Strawberry, Carla Ferrell and Harvey’s nephew Tommy.

I LISTEN TO HIS MORNING SHOW every MORNING, BUT I SOMEHOW DON’T LIKE THE CONCEPT OF A “REALITY SHOW’. FIRST OF ALL, I THINK CARLA AND SHIRLEY ADDS NOTHING TO THE SHOW, THEY JUST BASICALLY GOOFS OFF AND REPEAT EVERYTHING THAT STEVE SAYS, ESPECIALLY CARLA. I DO UNDERSTAND THAT THEY NEED JOBS, BUT KEEP THEM WHERE THEY ARE, AT LEAST FOR NOW. AT TIMES, THEY ARE SO CORNY, IT HURTS!!!

    AN AVID LISTENER.
