T.I Reality Show MTV

MTV is developing an unscripted series with the self-proclaimed “King of the South.” T.I has teamed up with Music Television to present an eight-epsiode reality series chronicling the rapper’s community service tour and other life-changing events as he prepares to begin serving a one-year prison sentence on weapons charges next spring. MTV will air the show some time after the Atlanta-based rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, enters jail in early 2009.
“We began the conversations in the middle of deliberations over what would happen to him,” executive producer Michael told Variety. “The original idea for the show had him staging a series of interventions in each episode with people in danger. But when we visited him under house arrest, it felt much bigger and more powerful than we anticipated.”
