Twista has been axed from the McDonalds Live Tour after the Chicago rapper’s lyrics were deemed too offensive. The ten city tour will feature performances in McDonalds’ parking lots across the U.S. by Ne-Yo, Kenna, Kat De Luna, the Dey, Single File and Kevin Michael.
The franchise claims: “McDonald’s USA made the decision following concerns raised about the artist’s controversial lyrics. Although we respect free speech and artistic expression, we do not condone or perpetuate derogatory language.”
The McDonald’s Live Tour concludes in Austin, Texas in September.
