Tyler Perry Sends Snubbed Campers To Disney World
Tyler Perry treated some happy kids in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, after hearing that the campers at Creative Steps Day Camp were turned away from a local pool in an act of racism.
The filmmaker was upset after hearing the inner city kids — who are mostly African American and Hispanic — were turned away from a local country swim club in suburban Philly because of race. The day camp had paid dues through August.
After hearing their story, Tyler sent all 65 kids and their legal guardians to Disney World, and even greeted them at Disney’s indoor water park, Quest.
