Tyson Beckford, the co-host of Bravo’s new series Make Me a Supermodel, recently ripped into catwalk legend Tyra Banks. The long suspected down-low brother held no punches when he went after Tyra’s similar reality series, America’s Next Top Model, which will go into it’s tenth cycle in February.
“Tyra? Are you joking? I’m the only male supermodel there is, the only one who can make a supermodel,” he told Page Six. “Do you think Tyra can just call up Naomi Campbell and ask her to teach these kids how to walk the runway? Please! You know Tyra and Naomi aren’t cool like that right? And we’re in New York, Tyra’s in L.A. Nothing’s going on in L.A. [My models] will go on go-sees, be doing what it takes where the action is, in New York. Please!”

that’s what we need another person putting down the person who made your show possible. without “top model” no one would be checking for shows about modeling or the fashion industry. naomi campbell, seriously? sure she’s got a good walk, but why not get a runway coach instead of someone too tied up in their ego to teach a wannabe a few tricks that just might get them ahead of you. Tyson, I don’t knock your hustle, but let’s save the hatin’ for when your show blows up and moves off of Bravo.
