Usher Album Leaks Two Months Early
The new year has come with a major blow for the newly-single Usher Raymond: The “Yeah!” star’s upcoming sixth studio album has leaked online more than two months before its expected release date.
Label executives at LaFace Records and its parent company Sony Music may have to rethink their plans after the whole project surfaced on the internet last week.
Raymond vs. Raymond is scheduled for release in Europe in February and the U.S. in March.
Usher announced in November that the album, which was originally due for release in December, would be delayed until 2010.
“We believe that the album is so strong that we want to give it the opportunity to have the proper set-up before coming out,” a spokesperson said at the time.
