VH1 Introduces ‘The Salt And Pepper Show’

Heaven help us. VH1 has announced their Fall 2007-2008 television and right at the top is ‘The Salt and Pepper Show,’ slated to chronicle the hit 80’s girl rap group’s attempt at a reunion.

On “The Salt ‘N Pepa Show,” VH1 will follow the ladies as they attempt to reunite on and off the stage in this funny, often touching reality series. They soon discover however, that achieving this is easier said than done since most of their past issues are still unresolved. Salt is angry about being unappreciated when they were together and Pepa blames Salt for breaking up the group. Their lifestyles are also polar opposites: Salt has indeed found God and is living a quiet life in Long Island with her husband while Pepa is still the party girl and up for anything. Can they overcome their differences long enough to heal their friendship and perform again?

I believe that Salt and Pepper should reconsider their union. Salt is saved and trying to live by the Christian faith. Peppa is still worldly and basis her whole life on Salt and Peppa’s glory days. Groups don’t last forever, so if Peppa is so caught up with wanting to perform why hasn’t she gone solo? She claims to be mad and bitter over the break up, yet she’s had no success as a solo artist. That is why. Was Salt N Peppa her whole existence? It makes no since for Salt (a Christian) to be unevenly yoked to Peppa who obviously does not understand that Salt cannot do the old things she used to do. She’s been remade in His (God’s) image and cannot afford to loose her foundation with Christ over some old ass songs that no one even listens to anymore. Salt and Peppa is over. Peppa need to find Jesus and Salt needs to keep on the narrow path to righteousness and not even deal with that part of her life. Salt should do gospel rap or whatever and Peppa can do whatever, because if you don’t have Jesus you don’t have anything. Find your own way Peppa my dear, and stop piggy backing off the old days. How do you move ahead if you keep going back? I understand what ya’ll USE to have but those days are over. I believe that if Salt and Peppa reunite it should be as a Christian/Gospel group cause the name and fame alone is not going to get you where you want to be. Especially if you don’t have Jesus. And even if ya’ll did stay together, you would still be stressed and over worked. Your new music sales would have suffered and your fame would diminish over time like every other artist out there. You’d be locked in some long term contract, stuck together whether you want to or not. What dream world are you living in Peppa? Get over it and move on and stop blaming Salt for following Jesus, cause at least she has something tangible and REAL unlike yourself. (if you don’t have Jesus that is) If you did, the conflict would not be so bad. You two would be on the same page at least. I couldn’t believe when I heard you almost call Peppa a bitch over that Shaq gig. I lost a lot of respect for ya on that one, cause I thought you were better than that but oh well. Your not a Christian so it’s expected of ya I suppose. You say your always the same and you’ll never change? I feel sorry for you if you think that that’s a good thing. EVERYONE goes through change but if you don’t then that means your still the same selfish, childish, immature Peppa you used to be. I hope your not saying you want to stay that way?? You seem so selfish right now and think Salt was right when she said that she is your personal money train, cause that’s how YOU make it look. Go to Jesus Peppa. It’s really the only way.
