Whitney Houston’s voice was nearly destroyed by drugs. The mulitplatinum-selling star’s November 2008 comeback album was delayed following years of heavy smoking and drug abuse. Whitney’s singing was so unrecognizable when she began recording her new album music mentor Clive Davis ordered her to take singing lessons.

“She was smoking a lot and taking a lot of drugs. Her voice was almost unrecognizable.”

Thanks to the Republicans and Democrats who have more to gain by allowing cocaine into this country than stopping access to it by our children and others. When the American government sees fit to stop the import of any given drug, it is gone. Tried to get a Quallude in the past 10 years? The government decided to stop both the legal and illegal manufacture of methaquallone and the drug no longer exists. When will it become more profitable to stop the import of cocaine into our country than to allow it? How many more lives will be destroyed before we stop the mass destruction of lives by cocaine and other drugs?
